Why Boudoir? | Milwaukee Boudoir Photography

One questions I get asked a lot is, “what kind of women do you work with for boudoir photos?”

It makes me smile when I get this question because it means the questioner is trying to picture herself in front of my lens. She’s testing out the idea of reclaiming and appreciating her body, her confidence and her magnetism.

The kind of women that books these shoots are women just like you and me. I have been on the other side of the camera for two of these shoots in my life and I plan to do another one in celebration of my 40th birthday in 2019. So, I am the kind of woman. You can read about my story here.

The women I have worked with have a variety of stories from surviving cancer to turning 60. From about to get married to finalizing a divorce. Every story shared with me is unique and special and most often confidential so I don’t publicize it.

I feel so honored to hear these stories and share in the moment with the warrior telling it. The experience is very authentic and meaningful. It is the reason I feel that every woman deserves to have a boudoir photo shoot for herself.

There is no one “kind of woman” for this type of photo shoot, because these shoots are for the everyday woman who wants to connect with her inner goddess.

You are that kind of woman too.

Here are a few past clients showing off their reasons for doing a boudoir photo shoot and how they felt after the experience.
