Angie | Chicago Entrepreneur Head Shots
It's not often that we find people who are strong, inspiring, and down-to-earth. It’s even more rare to call one of those people your good friends. Angie McMonigal has been a close friend for several years now. She was one of my biggest fans while building up Chrissy Rose Photography when we launched in 2010. From one entrepreneur...one artist... to another, she knew when I needed a little extra support and she was always there. Through her sincerety, determination, passion for photography and sense of humor this woman has empowered and inspired me for years! I am one of her biggest fans too and support her any way I can! Angie is an inspiring female artist that I continue to learn so much from. We met in 2009 when our young daughters became good friends and our relationship grew from there. With her returning to Chicago, her own photography business took off. She has many accolades to her name with literally, an award-winning track record. She is a phenomenal fine art photographer and has been published and exhibited all over the globe. She has been published by National Geographic, Departures, and SHOTS magazine and has showcased her galleries in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. And that’s not even the whole list. This inspiring lady's commissioned work can be viewed all over the walls of the renovated Le Méridien Etoile in Paris -- hoping to get there myself someday to admire her work. But for a daily reminder of her talents, I just need to look down. Her photos can be seen on my feet! Because of a collaboration with Bucketfeet a couple of her images decorate the stylish slip-ons that I have fallen in love with! The era of Angie has only just begun.
Angie approached me about taking some updated professional headshots for her and I was thrilled! Every photographer knows the feeling of shooting headshots, but not every photographer has a beautiful, stunning, and empowering friend like I do. She made my job so easy. Coming prepared with outfits that were authentic to her style and taste and had her makeup done by another friend of my, Samantha Kalkopf Artistry. Everything went flawlessly.
I like to call these the anti-headshots because they are so much more than just a headshot. The standard headshot shows little personality and doesn’t catch attention. These are the new kind of headshots. They are taken with the intent to make you stand out. Trust me when I say Angie and her list of accomplishments stand out on their own, but I am honored to bring her to life through these images.
